The Scope of e-commerce
Nowaday in Hong Kong, we all live in e-commerce,
Automatic teller machine of bank(Credit card or ATM card),
Daily Shopping use Creidit Card or ATM Card
EPS electronic payment system of bill
Mondex card (one type of smart card) for petty cash payment, Octopus card (one type of wireless smart card)for public transport fare payment in Hong Kong
Bar Code system of supermarket & Post office,
Java button ( one type of smart card)used in security system,
the transaction of banks and other organization through EDI(electronic data interchange)-- to do business transaction,
are saying to be in Intranet(part of internet)(a closed loop system)-- doing e-commerce
the whole internet seems to be in part of e-commerce,
We go in Internet through our ISP (Internet Service Provider)--doing e-commerce,
e-mail through our ISP or free e-mail provider(usually sponsored by advertise merchant or using friendly means in/to promote ...etc ) e.g.www.yahoo.com, www.hongkong.com....-- doing e-commerce
In Internet, there are also some other service, either charge or free of charge (usually sponsored by advertise merchant or using friendly means in/to promote ....etc) -- doing e-commerce
Download and update of software,-- doing e-commerce
Entertainment -- radio, TV, video, audio, newspaper, magazine...doing e-commerce too
Collecting data from some company website( e.g. Sony put some product's Data book in its web site for its user to download),--doing e-commerce
Buying and selling (e.g.Internet shop) and pay by credit card on internet.(some selling software company strongly emphasis internet shop is e-commerce, In fact, Internet shop is very very small portion in e-commerce)-- doing e-commerce

As from above, we can see our normal daily activities are all involved in e-commerce, We are all involved in e-commerce as a customer mainly.
